A fine day for fishing

So last week I saw a guildie with the Sea Turtle mount in Orgrimmar and as soon as I saw it, I had to have it! So three days ago, I began a sleepless farm-fest for it, at the lake in Borean Tundra. It wasn't that bad at all really, there were moments where I got really frustrated, but I've camped longer for other things. Plus the hundreds of fish I got, selling at the AH for about 35 gold a stack, earned me quite a nice amount. Anyway, at around 1pm today (or yesterday rather, as it's 2.41 am now), I got him!! Isn't he cuteeee...?

So, I've got him, what else could I farm for?! Ah. How about my old foe Mr. Pinchy.. I've been fishing this bastard on and off since TBC times, sometimes for a couple days at a time, but never seen him. So I thought this would be a good way to waste a few hours of my life.. and I catch him after 20 minutes. 20 bloody minutes, when I've been looking for so long and never even seen him! Pfft. So did he give me the pet? Of course not, my luck :P
What I didn't know before is, there's actually a 2 day cooldown between each wish, which sucks. So I have to wait 2 days to see if he decides to give me the pet.
Oh well... my first wish resulted in a big Mr. Pinchy guardian.. he was useless, but very adorable!

Why are pirates called pirates? Because they ARRRRR..

So tonight I finally got the Bloodsail Admiral title, which I have been lazily farming on and off for months. This inspired me to maybe have a crack at the Insane title, which I understood was pretty much one of the hardest titles you can get. Well I was feeling all chirpy and up for it until I looked up HOW to actually go about getting the Insane.. well, it involves hundreds of instance runs, thousands of rep kills, a couple thousand lockboxes to be pickpocketed (..ah. Not having a rogue might be a problem) and an assortment of other things that need to be farmed in hundreds and thousands. Cannot. Be. Arsed. Quite a shame really, because The Insane is a title I'd love to have. But I just don't have the patience for all that farming.. how I ever managed to camp spirit beasts or grind all this Bloodsail rep is beyond me. Oh well, at least I get to be a pirate :D

Screenshots of the Week :P

How does a guild called MAKE YOUR OWN DAMN DINNER sound?

Pissing around with the GM commands on a private server lead to me having a giant Loque'nahak as a mount... I love it!!! They should definitely bring this out as an actual mount.

TCG Loot Card, Ebay, £2. Simple person being amused all day long - priceless.

Healing?

So I've spent the last few weeks levelling my priest, and trying out healing.
I didn't realise the amount of crap that healers actually have to put up with.. seems like everything that can go wrong in a dungeon is blamed on the heals. For some reason I just got called a "fail healer" at the end of what I thought was a good heroic run.. everyone remained at top health throughout the dungeon, no deaths, so how did I fail at doing what I was meant to do: keep people alive? Healer has aggro and can't heal, it's their own fault. Healer is feared or stunned, their fault. Of course I don't deny I make mistakes, but this really annoys me when it clearly is not the healers fault! So I'll be sticking with my Hunter as my main, as healing is definitely not good for a person with a short fuse like mine!

Today I got something I've been wanting since TBC.. the Phoenix hatchling :D
I never saw it drop in TBC times, or ever, actually. And it's something I've always wanted to add to my collection of cute things. So today I had a good ol' farm and it dropped on the third run.
OK, so time to work on something else that would fit in nicely with my sparkly pets. Phoenix mount please?

It looks like luck was finally on my side today, as after about 4 hours of camping, Arcturis spawned :)
The only times I've really looked for him before have been an hour here and there, just a couple of times, so I never really expected to find him. But today I decided, I'm gonna seriously camp him. I prepared myself for an all day and night camp-fest for all of this week and the next before I found him, so to find him after a few hours I think is very lucky!
It might just be that spawns a lot more quick than the other spirit beasts, I don't know. But I camped Loque all day and night for months before I managed to swipe him.

I very nearly lost him actually, because as I was sitting here stupidly with my mouth agape, I forgot to tame him and just let him attack me. So I died! I quickly released and was relieved to see he was still there, but there were other people around who would have eventually realized a rare was there and probably would have killed him.

Every half hour or so a dwarf hunter would log in for a quick 10 minutes, so I'm glad he wasn't there at the time.. my reactions were so slow with shock I probably would have lost out to him.

So here's a picture of me and my new pet! I named him Teddy after my old white bear I had to delete to make room. Please Blizzard, more pet spaces? If they release anymore Spirit Beasts I *have* to get, I'm going to be very sad about deleting my beloved Miffy the Moth and Chompy the Devilsaur.
